The Government announced a new housing estate at Turf City which will have up to 20,000 homes
The 15,000 to 20,000 homes planned for the 176 ha site is less than half of the 42,000 homes which will be built in the 165ha site at Tengah
The precincts, Racecourse Neighbourhood and Syces Quarters which are near to the GCB areas may be set back by either open spaces or low-rise developments
The high-rise developments may be in the northern portion of Fairway Quarters and Tinggi Hills as they are further away from the landed homes hence less sensitive to build high-rise developments
The HDB flats are likely to be launched under the Prime model and the 4-room flats in Turf City may start from $600,000 when they are launched for application a few years later
Private home prices may possibly start from $2,500 to $3,000 psf when they are launched for sale a few years later
